Quality Assurance

We are registered with, and regulated by the Care Quality Commission. This means that we must reach the national standard in providing care for you in your own home. We are inspected annually by the CQC and every aspect of what we do is checked to make sure that you receive safe and effective care. The results of these annual checks are published and available for anyone to see on the Care Quality Commission website.

Disclosure and Barring Service Checks (formerly CRB)

A DBS check helps employers make safer recruitment decisions and prevent unsuitable people working with vulnerable adults, including children.

We make every effort to ensure the safety of our client’s property and belongings while our staffs are in their home. Any payments to our staff or other financial transactions are fully recorded and appropriate receipts issued.

Feedback of the Services

Quality Questionnaire

Every year we send our clients a Quality Questionnaire in which we ask for feedback on the work that we do. This ensures that we get an honest idea of our performance, enabling us to make our service even better. Because we believe in transparency, the results are then sent to our clients.

At Favoured Health will encourage the active involvement of our staff, service users, their relatives and families and relevant external bodies in providing feedback and expressing their views in order to continuously improve the provision of our services within the community.

Spot Checks

In addition to the checks that the CQC carry out, Positive Homecare conducts its own spot checks.

During the initial assessment that we have with you, we will ask for your permission to undertake unannounced spot checks.

These would be carried out with consideration to your privacy.

The purpose of these checks is to ensure that our staff are consistent in the provision of your agreed Care Plan.
